Tifoultoute Kasbah and the Film Studio by Quad: 2 Hours
Two hours on a quad linking an eighteenth century kasbah above the valley with the film sets that earned Ouarzazate its cinema reputation.
This route mixes riding with two very different stops. You leave on desert tracks and climb toward Kasbah Tifoultoute, an eighteenth century fortress that overlooks the valley. Its earthen walls and rooftop give you the wide view, and your guide explains the Berber families who once controlled this part of the region.
Back on the quad, you ride on to the cinema studio, the place most people mean when they call Ouarzazate the Hollywood of the desert. Walking among sets used for productions such as Gladiator, The Mummy and Game of Thrones is a strange and fun contrast after the open desert.
There is time for photos along the way, and a tea break if you would like one.

Where it happens
The route runs over desert and hilly ground around Ouarzazate, between the kasbah above the river valley and the studio area of the city. Expect hard tracks, gravel and a few gentle climbs.
Who it suits
Each rider steers their own quad, so it suits people who want to drive rather than sit back. First timers are welcome: the guide adjusts the route and the speed to the group, and experienced riders get more open ground. Groups of 1 to 20 can ride together. If anyone in your group is young, has a health condition or is pregnant, tell us when you send the request so we can confirm the ride is suitable.
