Zagora and the Draa Valley
From 95 USD per person
Ouarzazate lies between the High Atlas and the Anti Atlas, which puts gorges, palm valleys and two great dune fields within reach. Our excursions are private: one vehicle, one English speaking driver and your own group. Choose a single day out or two to four days with a night in a desert camp.
A day trip is the easiest way to see the valleys around Ouarzazate without moving hotel. You travel privately with an English speaking driver, stop where the landscape deserves it and share lunch on the way. Choose palm groves and the first dunes in the south, roses and gorges in the east, or a Berber village in the foothills.
From Ouarzazate you can reach two great dune fields: Erg Chebbi near Merzouga to the south east, and the remote Erg Chigaga beyond Mhamid to the south. Our private tours last two to four days and always include a night in a desert camp, dinner and breakfast in the dunes, and a camel ride at sunset.
Four full days out, each with lunch on the way and a return to Ouarzazate in the afternoon or early evening. Prices are per person and fall as your group grows, from 80 USD per person.
Every desert tour includes at least one night in a tented camp in the dunes, dinner and breakfast, and a camel ride at sunset. You can reach Erg Chebbi near Merzouga or the more remote Erg Chigaga beyond Mhamid, and there is also a private crossing from Marrakech to Fes through the desert.
