Camel rides on our desert tours
On the Erg Chebbi and Erg Chigaga tours, the camel ride is part of the night in the desert. You ride into the dunes at sunset to reach the camp, and on the tours to Erg Chebbi you ride back the next morning after watching the sunrise. It is included in the tour price.
On the private Marrakech to Fes desert tour, the camel ride lasts around an hour and is optional.

A shorter ride at Tinfou
If you only have one day, the Zagora and Draa Valley day trip ends at the first sand dunes of Tinfou, seven kilometres beyond Tamegroute. There you can explore on foot or ride a camel. The camel ride is not included in the trip price and costs around 200 MAD per person, paid locally.
Questions and answers
Can I ride a camel in Ouarzazate itself?
Ouarzazate has no dunes, and we do not offer a standalone camel ride there. The nearest option with us is the optional ride at Tinfou on the Zagora day trip.
Is the camel ride included in desert tours?
Yes. Every desert tour includes a sunset camel ride, and the Erg Chebbi tours also include the ride back from camp. On the Marrakech to Fes tour the one hour ride is optional.
How much is the camel ride at Tinfou?
Around 200 MAD per person. It is optional and not included in the Zagora day trip price.
